material: aircraft plywood
dimensions: Ø 440 mm
Sila lamp was born through experimentation with laser cutting techniques. It is a fascinating, ghostly creation, emerging from the two-dimensional plane of birch plywood, thin as hair. The ethereal structure of the lamp is using a flexible OLED panel as a light source, nearly as delicate as the plywood itself, making it an ideal decoration for the quiet, cozy corners.
Sila was exhibited in the Greenhouse at Stockholm Furniture and Light Fair 2017 and Tendence Fair in Frankfurt, Germany.
